I went to the Raytown Walmart on Thanksgiving night around 5pm. I was initially nervous about going in there because of the craziness around the holidays. I couldn't of been more impressed on how smooth the whole process went. I waited for about an hour in line and no problems at all. Every employee I interacted was very friendly and helpful. The officers were pleasant and very helpful as well. Just thought I would share my experience considering all the negative publicity Raytown Walmart was getting.
This is not the cleanest Walmart I've been in, but USUALLY the employees are okay to deal with. Some of the customer service reps during Christmas need to remember they are working in a service business and polite helps. If they are rude, I leave my basket where it is, politely say thank you and leave for another Walmart--
I avoid this location if I can. Haved lived near by for 3.5 years and it's always busy YET there are never enough cashiers. Why? The amount of people who shop at this location and they are always under staffed for some reason. We wait in line for entirely too long. Self checkout also is crowded and the past few weeks only 1 self checkout will take cash. The employees aren't all bad but this older lady in the fitting area is the rudest employee and she has been there for as long as I can remember. Several encounters with her- as recent as Thanksgiving. I asked her if there were any ugly sweaters for men and she looked at me and said " did you see any" and I said " no that is why I was asking" and she said " if you don't see them we don't have them" and I asked " is there anyone else that can help me?" And she repeated her self and gave me the rudest glare. I walked away so upset and took my business elsewhere. The bathrooms aren't always clean either. My 6 year old and I gross out and try and go before we go... And never ever do the site to store to this location. I've been in line for over half an hour. People in front of me had been there way longer. Very disorganized. We do grocery pick up on state line now and try and get everything we need to avoid that place. As this location does not offer it grocery pick up. Honestly they couldn't handle it if they did.
They block the way for shoppers and are in the way.
Every time we shop, the isles are packed with cart loads of stuff that they are stocking.
My husband and I are night shift workers. Which means we have Shop either very late or early morning hours.
I have a issue with this because again we are night shift workers and have to shop the middle of the night and when we have a cart full of things we want a cashier! Really one star is too many for this store! Even when we are their at 9 pm they are already blocking the isles bringing out their items to be stocked, like everything all at once! And the store is busy at night! A litter consideration for the customers would be nice.
I used the self service checker and when I went to leave left my cashback in the machine. After leaving I realized what I had done I back to Walmart. I explained how much I left and the supervisors were nice. They took my information and after a short wait returned my money. Thank you Walmart! Merry Christmas!
The other problem is when it gets late most of the time the only lanes that are open is self check out.
I realize the employees need to do their job, but when it’s interfering with customers shopping that’s a issue!
