The salesman told us that their crews were highly trained and certified. When they finally showed up they were from another company. When we had issues with the appearance and quality of the work we were told by the owner that it didn't leak and that was all that was important. Appearance and quality didn't matter. A year later they still want more money, even more than the insurance company gave us.
It is beyond the scope of the work they can do. What do you do when you pull a window out and find major wood rot? You must not sell many bay windows.
My grandpa got a new roof installed recently and can't say enough positive things about his experience. From the Bid to the Installation, Bordner and the Crew did a Fantastic Job! All the details of the job were installed as I specified on my home. Being a Contractor myself (with a new Hip Joint) which is why I hired Bordner to do this roof, I personally watched closely the 2-days of installation. All details were carried out correctly with regard to materials, and the installation. The Bordner Supervisor/Crew did a super job with the laying down the Shingle Pattern and it looks amazing.

I'm astonished. I was just told that Bordners is unable to enlarge an opening so I can go from a 5' patio door to a 8' door. Simple carpentry 101. Put a larger header in and a couple studs. Vinyl siding on the exterior.
I've always thought of them as a legitimate window, siding and roofing company with quality installers. I guess I was mistaken. The worst part is they are one of the few Marvin dealers in the area and will not sell just the door.

Our roof replacement involved removing a concrete tile roof plus a wood shingle roof that had been left underneath it. In consideration of the weight involved, Bordner took extra precautions not to damage our recently poured driveway. The roof installation went smoothly, our yard was left cleaned up and in good condition, and the finished roof product looks excellent.
