I have used Raytown Gregory Vet Hospital for multiple different reasons most of had no problems i have two dogs and both needed yearly shots and one needed stitches a few months after. Didn't have any problems with them, price wise they were reasonable. The one problem I have is the following.... since i felt like they deserved 4-5 stars, my mom needed to put her dog down so we made the apt with raytown gregory, the problem.... most vets that i have been to that friends or family went to for this reason left with their pet in a small cardboard box (when they wanted to take home to bury) we assumed this is what would happen when we went to Raytown-Gregory for this reason, NOT THE CASE!

And this is what i have a MAJOR problem with, during the visit of putting her down went fine, like you would expect. after she had passed i assumed like previously (at another vet) they would give us as much time as needed and than ask us to step out and than bring her wrapped up and in a box, instead the vet suggested she be wrapped up and in a bag in case her body released any bowl movements which is always a possibility my mom shook her head in understanding what he was saying, again we assumed she would be in a box anyways so we wouldn't see this... but we did my mother wrapped her dog in a towel and was going to carry her out in the towel, since we now figured no box... he than grabbed a black trash bag and started to put her in the bag and than wrapped the bag around her and tapped it shut. This made my mother go over the edge, i than had to carry her out to the car in just a trash bag, which is VERY awkward, since you can feel her in the bag. Doesn't help because it was in a bag and not a box, a man sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot made the comment do you have an animal in that. he had no idea that we just put our dog down, and i understand that but it was odd seeing a young women carrying this oddly shaped black trash bag to her car. Again a box should have been used, i have had to do this before at another vet and after saying your goodbye and getting a box where you can feel your pet or see its shape just feels like a heavy box makes it a little easier than carrying there obvious body in a trash bag.
