At first, I thought this place was great; terrific prices, friendly customer service reps, user friendly website, etc. I then realized that this was only because I was dealing with everything that was corporate Hertz, and nothing one on one with the actual Raytown location. I secured my car a week in advance. I called the day of pick up to get some last minute questions answered: does an authorized driver have to be there at time of pick up to be authorized? If not, do the people picking up need anything from them? How much would be need to be put down at time of pick up? And a few more. They answered all my questions very efficiently; which I appreciated since I had been on hold for over 10 minutes. Once my family got there to pick up the vehicle literally EVERY answer that they gave me directly had changed, and they wanted to charge us an extra $200. We were planning on renting a car from them for a whole WEEK to watch our family member graduate from boot camp.
They called me 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment to tell me they didn't have a car for me. I did finally get a car but it was not worth the hassle. I was very surprised by the lack of customer service and professionalism. My reservation was from Friday to Sunday however upon returning the car I found out they aren't open on Sunday's and the parking lot is gated off. After calling many branches including the corporate number with no answers I resolved to wait until the next day and see if they were understanding...
They were terribly disrespectful, racists acting down right unprofessional!..would advise no person should ever do business with that company ever
Overall, the customer service at this location was horrible, and there is a complete lack of knowledge, accountability, and communication among their employees.
They were nice but not very organized. It just seemed very hectic and rushed. Also could not find their drop box for keys, so I had to bring the keys the next day causing me to make 2 trips. Otherwise, they got the job done.
I had gotten a rental car from here after being in a wreck. When I came to return the car there was nobody in the office. I waited and nobody ever came. I eventually gave the keys to someone in the ford shop. Than 2 hours later someone calls me with an attitude saying I should have waited and the car was trashed and had smoke residue, which it did not at all. Ultimately the loser just hung up on me. I am going to dispute there extra charges. NEVER EVER AGAIN. VERY UNPROFFESIONAL!
I highly suggest renting at a different company all together, or at least a different location than this one.
