Recently I needed a small piece of glass for a broken window. The young man came out to my car and measured the window and went inside and 5 minutes later provided me with the $5 pane. He showed me the proper glazing options and points to use in my repair. Happy with my purchase and $12 and 10 minutes later I was on my way home to repair my window.
Have both a hardware and plumbing store. Knowledgeable people where you can take something in and they can tell you exactly what you need. Little bit of everything from screws & small hardware to electrical to lawn care to pet food. Prices on some things are little higher than a big box retail store, but well worth it for the knowledge and service.
The staff is spot on when it comes to my needs. I ask and they walk me right to the item I need and put it in my hand with a smile. I'm given advise for free as well as great service with a smile. You'd think you've just stepped back in time 30 years to a simpler era where people helped people.
I have been here several times. I'm greeted with a smile and a great hello "every time" I enter the door. And sometimes even the "house cat" greets me with a purrr. She keeps an eye on the boys.
Fantastic place for help and service. They put the big companies to shame with their assitance. You don't have to run anyone down to help you out and they know their stuff!
In retrospect had I visited the large meglo hardware store Southerlands at 67th and Blueridge Blvd, I'd still be walking back from isle 32 in the back looking for window silicone, not even sure they cut glass. But they do have a place in the neighborhood, yet my dollar for quick fast efficient service will always be my small town hardware "SMITH BROS HARDWARE AND PLUMBING". kUDO'S GUYS.
